UCN Enclosures

The Hennessy UCN (Universal Communications Node) Enclosure series provides cost effective-vandal, corrosion, and environmental protuection for electronic integration.

The UCN is a user configurable communications equipment enclosure for use in CATV, Telephony and Cellular architecturs. Applications include, Optical transition nodes (OTN), repeaters, hub sites, local origination equipment sites, telephony "point of presence", power node for centralized powering and Cellular microcell sites.

The UCN enclosures are manufactured of .125, 5052 H32 Aluminum and are rated NEMA 3R; the main chamber is NEMA 4X and is environmentally controlled. Innovative, compartmental design provides multi-chamber craft separation (main, battery, fiber entry/storage, electrical center and air-conditioning compartment).

Enclosures are designed to comply with the requirements of Bellcore TA-NWT-000487.
